What does "wireless" mean on a range hood?

On the Victory Sunset, wireless means you control the hood from your phone over Bluetooth, using the VICTORY app to adjust fan speeds and lighting. A smartphone is required. Wireless refers only to the control: the Sunset still installs in your ceiling and connects to a 6-inch duct.

Is the Victory Sunset wireless range hood portable?

No. The Victory Sunset is a ceiling-mounted range hood, not a countertop unit. Its internal blower, the fan that moves air, is included. It installs in a ceiling cutout and connects to a 6-inch duct.

Will the Victory Sunset wireless range hood fit between my ceiling joists?

The Victory Sunset is designed to fit between ceiling joists spaced 16 inches on-center, if your joists run the right direction for its cutout. On-center means 16 inches from the middle of one joist to the middle of the next, and joists are the beams above your ceiling. The cutout is 31-3/4 inches wide by 12-3/4 inches deep. Ask your installer to check your joist direction and spacing before you order.

Does the Victory Sunset wireless range hood use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

The Victory Sunset uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone through the VICTORY app, and its product page does not list Wi-Fi or voice assistant control. A smartphone is required for app control, and the page does not specify the Bluetooth range.

How loud is the Victory Sunset wireless range hood?

The Victory Sunset is listed at 1 to 6 sones, from low to high. A sone measures how loud a sound seems to your ear. Lower numbers are quieter, and a 2-sone hood sounds about twice as loud as a 1-sone hood. Duct size, bends, and installation quality can also affect real-world noise.

Wireless Range Hoods

Wireless range hoods from Victory are ceiling-mounted hoods you control from your phone over Bluetooth, not portable countertop units. On the Victory Sunset, you adjust fan speeds and lighting in the VICTORY app, which requires a smartphone. It sits flush with the ceiling, so nothing hangs down to block your view. Victory designed it to fit between 16-inch on-center ceiling joists, the support beams behind your ceiling. Exhaust leaves from the top or side through a 6-inch duct, the pipe that carries air out. Choose stainless steel, matte white, or matte black.
