What's the difference between the 900 CFM Verona and the 1200 CFM Hurricane in this collection?

The Verona offers 900 CFM at a 22-inch depth. The Hurricane offers 1200 CFM at a 24-inch depth, with both 8-inch and 10-inch duct connectors for flexible ducting. Both models use the same dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters and mechanical rotary controls, so the main differences are airflow, depth, and ducting configuration.

Do these range hoods need makeup air?

Makeup air is worth planning for with every model in this collection. All four run at 900 CFM or higher, above the roughly 400 CFM level that many US jurisdictions use as a makeup-air trigger, especially in homes with gas-fired appliances like water heaters, furnaces, or fireplaces. Running that much exhaust airflow without a replacement-air plan can depressurize a home and risk pulling combustion gases back in. Confirm the exact requirement for your home with your contractor before installation.

How loud are these range hoods, from the lowest speed to full power?

Sones range from about 1 to 6 on the Verona and the Remote Blower Verona, and about 1.2 to 6.6 on the Hurricane, based on each model's own published spec sheet. All four use 4-speed mechanical rotary controls, so you can choose a speed between those two points rather than running only at full power or fully off. A single top-speed sone number is standard across most range hood specs, but that figure describes only the loudest setting, not the range actually available day to day.

How do I clean the filters, and do they ever need replacing?

These are dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters, reusable rather than the disposable kind you'd need to keep replacing. All four models pair them with a removable, dishwasher-safe grease tray. Clean both more often with heavier or more frequent cooking, and empty the tray as it fills.

Are these 36 inch under cabinet range hoods ducted or ductless?

Every model in this collection is ducted. The Verona and Remote Blower Verona use an 8-inch round duct connection, and the Hurricane includes both 8-inch and 10-inch duct connectors. None of the four models are listed with a ductless or recirculating configuration. If your kitchen doesn't have existing ductwork, Victory's separate ductless collection is the better fit.

36" Under Cabinet

Victory's 36 inch under cabinet range hoods span 900 to 1200 CFM, giving you airflow options for gas and electric cooktops. Depth ranges from 22 inches on the Verona to 24 inches on the Hurricane, adding front-to-back capture area over front burners. Every model uses dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters and mechanical rotary controls. Choose a standard 8-inch duct, or the 1200 CFM Hurricane, which includes both 8-inch and 10-inch duct connectors for flexible ducting. Above 400 CFM, plan for makeup air per local code.
