Frequently Asked Questions

Will my existing 6-inch duct work with the VICTORY Elegant 450 CFM remote blower?

Yes. The VICTORY Elegant 450 CFM remote blower is designed for a standard 6-inch round duct. For efficient, quieter operation, use rigid metal ducting with the shortest, straightest path possible. Avoid reducing the duct to 4 or 5 inches or using sharp elbows, as these can restrict airflow and increase noise. Homeowners and contractors should verify the duct path before installation.

Should I choose an inline or outdoor remote blower for the VICTORY Elegant?

The best choice depends on your home’s layout, duct path, and service access. Choose an inline blower if the motor can be placed within the duct run, such as in an attic or crawl space. Choose an outdoor wall-mounted blower if your duct path is better suited for an exterior-wall installation. Both options support 450 CFM ventilation, so homeowners should review the installation guide with their contractor before ordering.

How does the VICTORY Elegant help reduce suction loss during heavy cooking?

The VICTORY Elegant helps reduce grease-related airflow problems with stainless steel baffle filters and an integrated grease tunnel that collect cooking grease during frying, searing, and everyday cooking. To help maintain suction over time, keep the filters and grease tunnel clean, and make sure the 6-inch duct, damper, and exterior vent stay clear. If airflow feels weak, check for duct restrictions, sharp elbows, or blocked vents before assuming there is a motor issue.

What should I check to reduce cold drafts or condensation with the VICTORY Elegant?

To reduce cold drafts and moisture, the VICTORY Elegant should be installed with a sealed 6-inch rigid metal duct, a working backdraft damper, and a proper exterior wall or roof cap. In colder climates, insulated ductwork may help because warm, moist cooking air can create condensation when it meets cold duct surfaces. Homeowners should confirm duct sealing, damper operation, and the vent path with their installer before finalizing installation.

What should I confirm before installing the VICTORY Elegant?

Before installation, confirm that your wall has proper support, such as wall studs or plywood backing, because the VICTORY Elegant should not be supported by drywall anchors alone. Make sure the hood height fits the recommended clearance above the cooktop and that a 120V outlet can be placed within the chimney area. Homeowners should test the blower and lights before mounting, and have a qualified installer verify the wall support, electrical setup, and 6-inch duct path.

Nice range hood. Install went as expected and looks great.
Controls are a bit awkward to see and fan seems to be louder than expected.

Hi there, thank you for your review! We appreciate the feedback, and we're always happy to help review the installation for any potential improvements. Please email our team at support@victoryrangehoods.com with a photo of your outside wall/roof cap and any ducting details. A lot of times, noise concerns can be resolved by reviewing and updating some of the ducting components. Thank you again for the feedback, and we hope we can help!

36 Inch 600 CFM Wall Mounted Range Hood - VICTORY Elegant

Very good quality

This is my third purchase from Victory. One for my brother, dad and now me. Very good quality. Great service

I purchased, installed, and have used this hood for about 3 months now. I would rate the quality of the product as very high. There are some visible spot welds that I am not too fond of, but I am very impressed with the rotary controls, and overall most of the design quality.

I does a tremendous job of evacuating air, smells, grease etc.

My only real complaint was during install. The plastic transition piece for the 6" duct was not sized properly for the duct. The duct would not fit in the piece without some jerry rigging on my end. Not a huge deal at the end of the day, but I recommend Victory to increase the inner diameter of the plastic part that accepts the metal duct.

I would purchase again.
