Definitely would recommend this insert.
You can see the steam vapour being sucked up through the air intake grills on high speed.
Are kitchen is noticeably fresher than with the old exhaust fan.
I did get a reputable HVAC company to install according to company specifications.
Only thing I wish they would mention is the sone rating on each setting.
I did go with the 8 inch version , 8 inch exit through the roof hoping it would have been power-full and quiet at the same time ?
It’s not overly loud on the highest setting it is more noisy.
Might have gone with inline in the attic to mitigate the noise on the highest setting.

During the kitchen renovation my wife researched different range hood online and found Victory 30" range hood was the right product for us based on costumer reviews, the product was made in Canada and the price was within our budget.
The Range Hood was installed on Monday and we are amazed how quite is the fan. We simply love the Q2 and made the right choice

Our kitchen reno design included a hooded cabinet over the stove with an insert, our old range hood was a strait through vent and much lower placed, after much research we settled on the Victory Range hood insert for the following reasons, 1. it is a Canadian Company, this was very important to us, 2. it had the option of a top or back vent hole, 3. great reviews and 4. it is so much quieter than our old one. We are extremely pleased with this product and would recommend this insert

I am happy with the product. However the motor assembly is to tall. This unit cannot be used with a 8 foot ceiling if you are going direct to an exterior wall which is a typical install procedure then you are working with inches or barely fits. With that said, again this is a great product. Hopefully Victory can make a good compact unit.

Looks great, very quite compared to the range hood it replaced.
