The UC400 is the perfect range hood for anyone on a budget without compromising the quality. Most cheaper slim under-cabinet range hoods come with small plastic motors that loud, but the UC400 comes with an all metal 350CFM motor, making it more reliable. This model comes with a reliable 3 speed push button switch and two bright LED's for great lighting.

For the exhaust, this unit comes with a standard 6" top vent or a 3.5" x 10" top/rear exhaust, making it compatible with most kitchens. The UC400 is Designed, assembled, and certified in Canada for long lasting, problem free service.

well built but poor performance

I was so excited to find a Canadian built range fan. Ordered and quick delivery.
solidly built except for rather flimsy screening and the upward draft only happens on the left side. No suction on the right. Thus, I can only cook and turn on my gas stove on the left side. It was important to me that this mitigated the issue of gas exhaust, etcetera. I only see positive reviews on your site, so I don' expect anyone will see this review

Our team publishes all reviews, regardless of rating. The item you purchased might not be powerful enough for your situation because it is a 350 CFM fan. We also sell 600 CFM + range hoods. The UC400 model is made for basic cooking. For gas ranges, we typically recommend more powerful range hoods like the Luna model, or Verona model with 8' ducting.
